Dear clients and partners –
we are diving right into 2010′s second half and while some developers are already laying finishing touches on their products for christmas, we would like to take the opportunity to give you a quick update.
For us at dead-on entertainment it has been a great half-year. We were surprised by the large amount of orders from foreign countries, particularly for our 2d graphics. The work for clients from Russia, Italy, Austria, Turkey, Finland and the USA brought us many impressions and experiences. All of you profit from this variety because these experiences enlarge our pool of artistic creativity from which we draw for each and every project.
Also, once again we feel confirmed in our focus on high quality and originality. We love our work and each of our products. To keep pursuing this passion, the numbers just have to fit. We are not available for artistic compromise or dumping prices.
Alongside our most popular products, hand-drawn 2D art of all kinds (just have a look at our gallery) we have started to offer the whole spectrum of 3D work as well. With our new member -an old acquaintance and good friend of the dead-on family- we are happily accepting jobs for modelling, texturing, animation, rigging and all sorts of specialised, highly technical jobs.
Not only due to the renaissance of 2D-gaming on various platforms, we keep getting requests for our illustration and animation capacities. Even the most sophisticated of modern 3D Shooters use 2D elements throughout the game. With our strong background in interface design we are able to help many teams not only on the conceptual side but in final production as well. All of this is keeping us busy.
Even though our focus is the creation of 2D assets, some of you know very well that we also provide our programming resources. While this may lead to our own current gaming pet project being on hold for some more time, we are not in a hurry to rush its completion. As we say in Germay “Haste makes waste”.
I would like to conculde this letter with my sincerest gratitude: It means a lot to us to be working for you. The appreciation of high quality is the only way to move forward, the only way to create something memorable.
Have a great time – all of you!
Best regards,
Felix Olschewski
